Warm Ras el Hanout Chick Peas

They pack a good amount of heartiness and protein; they can be a meal on their own and mushed up they create that wondrous dip known as hummus. Chick peas, garbanzo beans, whatever you want to call them are one of the best legumes in the world. Well, at least according to me they are. I love this little pea because it can translate extremely well in a number of dishes from savory to sweet to cold to hot. The dish above is my go to chickpea dish, its easy and its toasty. You just throw a can or a bag of soaked and softened chick peas into a pan with olive oil, garlic, herbs, and Ras el Hanout spice (a North African spice mix) and voila! You know have a perfect entrée or a side dish.

  • Chickpeas
