Tuna Bowl

I love Sushi and Sashimi; however I am not skilled enough and probably not patient enough to make it. So I whip up this quick and easy meal when I am in the mood for sushi but too broke to afford it. The tuna bowl follows the age old foundation of a poke bowl and is a riff on the delicious Hawaiian staple. Its simple because all you need is rice, Ahi Tuna or Salmon, avocado, green onion, cucumber, soy sauce and sambal oelek or sriracha ; whichever floats your boat. This meal is delicious and nutritious (cheesiness aside) it truly is and its fast and can feed a good amount of folks if needed. So the next time you get a hankering for Sushi or Sashimi and your pockets are only holding lint; try a Tuna Bowl!

  • Ahi Tuna or Salmon
  • Avocado
  • Green Onion
  • Cucumber
  • Soy Sauce
  • Sambal Oelek
  • Sriracha
  • Rice
